Car Seat Safety

I feel as if i need to get my feelings out on all the topics that come across on my facebook.
There is so much to be said about some of these topics. People really need to be more educated about. That's how important these things are to me. It's between life or death or an empowering birth or a birth that is going to suck really bad if you dont take charge.

So, the life and death part is about car seat safety. Not only do parents do it wrong but young baby sitter's do it wrong. I had no idea when I had my first son how important it was. I had no idea that car seats expire or that the chest clip is suppose to go on the chest and not the belly. Or that rear facing is so much safer than forward facing. I had done it so wrong the first time around. I just want people to be informed for their first or last time.

This is my son, Bentlee, probably around 5 months old. As you can see his chest clip is on his belly and not on his chest. Also, I dont know exactly when that car seat did expire but i do know that it expired the year he was born. (2010)
